"It's only when compassion is present will people allow themselves to see the truth"
BRIANNE FLAHERTY, FOUNDER, RPC-C, CCAC, CCTP
I am a Registered Professional Counsellor - Candidate, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and a Certified Canadian Addiction Counsellor. I have observed that compassion, awareness and building intentional, meaningful relationships are the keys to well-being. My approach as a counsellor is person-centered and trauma-informed. I work from both an abstinence-based and harm-reduction framework. I believe deeply in the strength of connection. Building a strong network of support is critical as you embark on your recovery journey. Whether you're seeking to make changes related to substance use or are simply looking for support to move towards your goals, I will honour you, your strengths and ability to create positive changes in your life.

What Makes Me Unique?

An authentic space cannot be created from in inauthentic place. While I am skilled and trained in addiction, mental health and wellness, I am someone who has experienced pain. It was a process of movement, curiosity, self-discovery and stillness that guided me here. Unraveling ourselves takes patience, compassion and trust. Transformation occurs when we step into our fears. I support you on your journey as you slow down, listen to your innate wisdom, hold, heal and engage in play/integration. You are unconditionally accepted and empowered. My mission is to provide space for you to connect and experience the inherent goodness, power, resiliency and calm that is within.

Life circumstances can leave us feeling overwhelmed, often stuck, and struggling to make sense of things. I help you to understand and identify these thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I offer a safe confidential space where together we can work through these areas of your life moving towards an understanding and acceptance of what has taken place, allowing for healing, change and possibilities.Â
I have trained as an Integrative Counsellor, and as a Reflexologist in the UK almost 20 years ago. Since my move to Canada in 2010 I have become a Life Coach, a Child and Youth Care Counsellor, and an Equine Assisted Personal Development Coach, further adding to my skills.
